Fred Korematsu Volunteering Friday May 21st!

Hello everyone!

Hope you are all doing well today. This Friday, May 21st from 3:30 – 8 PM, AAA has a community service opportunity at Fred Korematsu Elementary School in Davis. 4. Fred Korematsu is located at 3100 Loyola Drive, Davis CA. The school is celebrating their annual Asian Pacific Islander Celebration!

Here is a link to the sign up spreadsheet

We are asking if you can volunteer an hour of your time on Friday. There are 4 different shifts that you can attend. If you have a car and drive other volunteers that would be great!

Volunteers will be helping with the set up, game booth management and clean up. Although I did say there would be food for volunteers, the organizer updated me and said that the committee is having some issues securing the food for everyone. The least they provide are drinks. Other than that, this is a great opportunity to give back to the Davis community.

Attendance will count towards your AAA membership!

Part of the fundraiser is also a contest for people who are attending Wong Fu Productions: Behind the Scene on April 30th at UC Davis. The contest features prizes such as the Nice Guy merchandises, gift cards, and a secret prize

*******Contest guideline********

1. When you attend Hometown Chinese Restaurant, located at 132 E. Street, Davis CA, bring the flyer. Click on the image above to print out your copy.

2. Present the flyer to the cashier and the cashier will stamp your receipt. IMPORTANT: the receipt must have the official stamp from the cashier of the business.

3. Collect your receipts and write your full name (legibly please!) on the back of the stamp.

4. If your receipt contains personal info such as bank card number, then you can black it out with a sharpie pen. We just want the stamped receipt with your name on it.

On April 30th, we’ll be drawing the raffle. So the more receipts you have, the better chances you have of winning.
